Rosemary Wells is an American writer and illustrator of children's books. She often uses animal characters to address real human issues. Some of her most well-known characters are Max & Ruby, and Timothy Goes to School, both later adapted into Canadian-animated preschool television series, the former of which aired on Nickelodeon as part of the Nick Jr. block and the latter of which aired on PBS Kids.

Rosemary is the author of the beloved McDuff children’s book series, including McDuff Moves In, which was reprinted by the Gryphon Press.
