Karen Dugan is a prize-winning illustrator and author of more than 25 children's titles. A graduate of the Parson's School of Design, her artwork has been called "warm" (ALA Booklist) and "vibrant" (The Horn Book) and has appeared in publications such as Cricket magazine. Books she has illustrated include Mr. Tuggle's Troubles, Mary D. Lankford's Christmas USA, and Gryphon Press’s own Always Blue for Chicu and Ms. April & Ms. Mae.
